Salon Shortlist publishes verified business details for hair salons, barbershops, nail bars, beauty salons and massage therapists across Australia so customers can easily discover, compare and book appointments. What we show: for each salon, its trading name, street address, suburb, Australian state, website, public contact phone, services, opening hours, and verified facts (such as online booking, price guides, and parking). Where it comes from: strictly public business sources: the salon's own official website, OpenStreetMap, and the Overture Maps Foundation. We do not buy external marketing lists and we do not collect private personal data. Why: to help Australian consumers find local salon services and help salons gain online visibility. Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), publicly available business contact information of trading enterprises is collected and handled fairly and transparently. If a sole trader's listing includes a residential address or personal mobile number and you wish to have it amended or removed, email us and we will update or delete it immediately. We never sell, rent or share personal information with third-party advertisers or data brokers.
If you run or represent a listed Australian salon, you can claim your profile, connect online booking with Appointica, update your opening hours and prices, or request immediate removal at any time. Simply click the "Correct or remove this listing" button on your salon's page or email contact@salonshortlist.com. We process all verification and removal requests promptly and free of charge.
We strictly adhere to the Australian Spam Act 2003. We do not send unsolicited commercial electronic messages to salons that have published a "no solicitation" notice, and every communication includes clear identification of Appointica / Salon Shortlist and an instant unsubscribe link.
We do not require visitor registration or logins to browse. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral tracking. Standard server logs and privacy-preserving visit counts are maintained solely for system security and operational integrity.
Data comes from public salon websites and open map data: © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL) and Overture Maps Foundation. "No data" means the salon's site does not say, not that the answer is no. Salons are sorted by profile completeness (how much we could verify), not by quality. No salon pays to be listed.
